WOW is the one and only Ben Mann. The artist Bellingham knows and love. He has colored and enlivened so many spaces in this community. He has taught and inspired many of Bellingham’s school children to express themselves through art. He brings so much color and joy.
How long have you been practicing at Flux Power Yoga? How did you know this was your place?
Since March 26, 2018! I knew Flux would be hot, but what immediately blew me away was the warmth. Everyone frickn belongs, and that’s never been more relevant. It moves me everyday.
Anytime I’m assessing the value of something, I simply imagine my life without it. Boom! I actually show up craving this class. #nonJock
How has your practiced evolved and /or what benefits have you gotten in your practice and in your life?
My stamina has increased, as well as measurable improvement in sleep patterns, digestion, general lightness in my day to day routine, and a compassionate tolerance for whatever colorful characters life sends my way.
Favorite pose and why?
Twisting triangles because they took their sweet time availing themselves to me. The gift lies not in the receiving but in the achieving.
Any advice for new yogis?
My advice is let go of any sense of perfection; and know that unlike much of life, there’s no sense of audience here. Five days a week, my feet hit the floor with joy because of the excitement for joining my revolving and evolving tribe of yoga mates. I’ve always known my primary relationship is within, and Flux is just the brilliant red maraschino on that philosophy.
